Burmese Gold Samosas are so good. So good. Twice now I have ordered these just as my meal and this most recent trip took an order home with me to enjoy on the drive back to Seattle.
We also tried to the Shoo Share Laphet plate which is a variety of fermented tea leaves and a first for me, but I am so thrilled to have had the experience of trying and enjoying it.
I was very full when I left and no room for a dessert, but they looked good, and I can't wait to return and give them a try,
I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. The food was good. The service not the best. I would recommend to not order the Samosa as they were very oily. The Tea leaf salad was refreshing and delicious as well as the Falooda. They have a robot who serves food. If they improve their service they will receive a better rating.
Update: On owner's request elaborating on the service part.
We visited on 01/29/22 evening. After we finished our meals the tables weren't cleared when we ordered deserts. We had to pile them all together and make space for ourselves. By this time it had slowed down and there weren't many customers too.
I respect family business but a little disappointed. Server was extremely courteous and checked out the cute robot. Ordered beef curry for $21 but it did not have much flavor other than salty to my taste. Beef was diced up so small, tough and chewy. I felt like eating a gourmet dog food. Sorry.
I LOVE TOP BURMESE! As a native Burmese person, I find the dishes here authentic. Some of the dishes are made the way my Burmese mother would. I highly recommend getting a table before rush hour, which is around 7pm or earlier on Fridays and Saturdays.
SO GOOD! I can’t wait to come back & try more. I love the flavors & crunchy textures. A great patio for outside seating. Great service too. Definitely get a coconut rum 🍹 drink 😋
