Verde Cocina Hillsdale

This is our go-to for a healthy, tasty meal. We are so lucky to have a Verde Cocina in our neighborhood. Almost every dish can be made vegan, ingredients are local, and service has always been perfect (friendly).

I have to give this place 5 stars for the food. I ordered their veggie enchiladas special. The ingredients were so fresh and tasted so healthy, they buy their fruits and veggies from a local farmer in the neighborhood, which made the dish so colorful. The display was beautiful.

For my very first time in Oregon/Portland area, this is the first place I chose to eat and was extremely satisfied - in fact I can't stop thinking about how tasty it was. We sat at the bar on a Wednesday in the late morning and could watch the cooks and staff in the kitchen.

My dish was to die for, superb!

Had dinner here and it was SO good. A healthy unique spin on mexican food. Not your typical fare. The seasonal cocktail was also great and service was excellent. Will definitely try their brunch at some point.

Boy, i really want to like this place. A lot of things I do like about it. But just know its a bit more expensive than your average Mexican food. Its fresh, and has a bit different taste. Its worth it if you have the diet restrictions or want more of a limited vegetarian or paleo diet.
Great margaritas and tequila selection.
Atmosphere is a bit sleepy. Sleepy music in the background, like a fine restaurant. Also its a bit tight and you feel like you are eating next to everyone.
Staff was nice and decent.
Just not sure Its worth the extra price for me. $57 bill for a small dinner for two including one drink each, chips and salsa on the side. meh.

Super fresh, super tasty, not cheap. This is not a place to get a giant burrito quickly. But it is a place with great food and cocktails in a unique setting.
