It was a weekday and they were just opened for dinner so we had all the place for ourselves. I was pleasently surprised by the food quality and presentation. We tried the tuna poke, very good, and the most delicious Brussel sprouts I have had in a long time. Drinks were good as well and staff was very attentive, checking on us frequently. Pricewise, I found it very reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Only odd thing was the handwritten check and the fact that I didn't get a copy of the credit card receipt (no surprises on my bank statement though.)

The place is all-new, modern looking, with beautiful views of the Willamette river and they have a couple of tables by the fireplace. There is a deck outside that will be a great spot with nice weather. Will definitely be back.

Ate there sat night and couldn't of been happier. Place was packed but food came out fast , hot and looked really good. Ate the peppered steak special very well plated dish and it tasted even better. The service was top notch and was very friendly. Looking forward to staying a night there some time, so I can see what else independence has to offer. Definitely a must stop if your in the area.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with nothing but smiles. The exterior is stunning, and the atmosphere is modern and inviting. Waitors/waitresses were prompt and very friendly.

We took our time to look over the menu, and ordered a couple of pints of 45th Parrallel beers (S.M.A.S.H) - great IPA with floral notes and a hint of bitterness. The menu is two-sided; lunch on one side, dinner on the other.

We ordered the cajun-spiced mac and cheese, as well as the Territory burger. The burger came out perfectly cooked (medium) with the veggies on the side. The bun was pretty buttery, but very good. Fries resemble McDonald's french fries, decorated with parsley and salt/pepper. The mac and cheese was savory, with the perfect amount of spice and sausage. We ate our food too fast to take pictures!

If you're looking for a more modern place to eat with excellent food, go to the Territory. We will definitely be back! And next time, we will have to check out the roof-top bar.
