The location of this place is great! The hotel itself has amazing views and a nice aesthetic. The bathrooms at this place are kinda weird, they have this see-through glass that you see everything happening inside the bathroom from everywhere. Definitely, not family friendly I can say. The room had a lot of women hair on the wood walls too. Overall, the place needs better quality service. For the price and the fact that you have to stay for two nights at least, they can create more of a fun experience for their guest.
Breathtaking views, gorgeous room, excellent staff (shout out to Sean), and delicious food (both in-room dining and the restaurant). We even added another day to our stay. I highly recommend utilizing the seasonal in room dining options, the spa service (amazing massages), talking to the adventure coaches, renting the bikes to cruise around town/beach, and the snack pantry as well. I will say, this is definitely a place for couples or for solo stays as there is no real privacy in the rooms (open glass shower and tub in the middle of the room).
It is a luxury hotel with a lovely ambiance and rooms that do justice to the high price. The view from the room is exceptional. We booked a room with an additional nook and TV. We could view the surfers surfing on the waves on our second day. A word of caution; the website does not say that the restaurant doesn't allows entry after 8:30 pm. That it is open till 9:00 pm is misleading. We missed our dinner on the first night since we reached the hotel at 8:28 pm and the restaurant at 8:33 pm. We were denied seating at the restaurant, saying they do not allow guests after 8:30 pm. We traveled six hours to reach the hotel only to find that we could not dine. We pay $ 575 for a night and then hunt for dinner. The food is mostly seafood with not enough options for vegetarians or if you want chicken. Besides this hiccup, the hotel is exceptional, and we enjoyed our stay. The same family owns nearly all small businesses in the Pacific City. There is a friendly coffee shop, a bar, a grocery shop, and another hotel, all within a stone's throw of this property.
The Headlands is such a nice place to spend a relaxing weekend at the coast. Pelican brewery across the parking lot, the little bakery there too. The restaurant at the Headlands is simply elegant, request a window seat. There's plenty to do in the area, but staying right there is good too. Be sure to wake up early to see the dory's launching right off the beach. We saw whales from our room too.
Very nice rooms super clean. Our room was Ocean side with a balcony looking out on the beach.amazing view. Hot tub is outdoors and huge . Elevator. Handicapped friendly. Restaurant was good. Deep sea fishing charterboats meet in parking lot next door. Tide pools nearby for exploring sea life at low tide. $$$$
