Poke Makana

Don't go here unless you are hungry because the portions are huge! I get two good meals from every visit. Excellent food.

Honestly, the food was good. The problem is that I was given almost no fish, so I can't really tell you if their fish is any good. I was literally given the scraps at the bottom of the bowl of salmon. Not given a single actual piece of meat, but the rest of the bowl was good.

We came here looking for traditional Hawaiian food, not knowing what Poke was. The best way to describe it is a Chipotle bowl with incredible Polynesian toppings ...fish..crab..mango.. avocado..cucumber..and many many more toppings with the main attraction being their fresh raw fish. If you love sushi you will love this food...if you or the kids don't care for raw fish..they do offer cooked chicken. Plus a zillion mouth watering amazing sauces to choose from! My granddaughters and I loved it. The restaurant is spotlessly clean..the food super fresh. generous portions and incredibly flavorful..and the staff friendly and happy to explain all their toppings and recommendations. I am craving more as I write this. Sadly I was only visiting Oregon and haven't found a Poke restaurant in Tennessee.

Food is great and fresh. The environment is clean and bright. Poke Makana is our new favorite :)
