We loved our stay at the Black Walnut. Such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We had an amazing wine flight upon arrival. Really enjoyed exploring the nearby vineyards too. Definitely plan to return!
If it was possible to give this place 6 stars, I would give it 7.
Kudos to Stevi, Colin, Kyle, and KC, along with the rest of the friendly staff. They were always willing to go above and beyond, and helped take the headache out of coordinating a shipment of wine home.
Breakfast was amazing each morning and the wine and cheese and charcuterie we purchased for our first day was absolutely worth it. The estate wine was the perfect introduction to wine country paradise.
The views are superb and I took many photos of sunrises, sets, fog, clouds.
It was quiet every night and the outdoor seating was plentiful and comfortable.
We will definitely stay here again.
It was so amazing I love it from the moment you enter the service the food I will definitely come back with my husband!
I've had the pleasure of visiting the Black Walnut on several occasions and I could wax poetic about each visit. Collin, Stevie and Adam each took such wonderful care of me and I recommend a stay/wine tasting to local Oregonians and international visitors alike. I personally recommend rooms #1 & #6 for the most scenic views and posh experience. If you decide to venture out during your stay I recommend Furioso, Red Hills Market & Argyle (for bubbles) in the neighborhood. Be sure to ask about the property's fruit trees, farm animals and tree swing for a more intimate space to enjoy lunch!
From the moment you drive onto the property, the grounds are immaculate and the views cannot be beat. There are so many beautiful seating areas to relax and enjoy the view with a glass of Willamette Pinot, you almost forget the rooms and common areas inside are just as beautiful. All of the staff are wonderful and we received room cleaning for the first time since Feb. 2020! Breakfast is fresh and amazing.
The location is secluded from hustle and bustle, but within 10 minutes of the best restaurants and wineries around. We cannot wait to return with our families for our wedding!
