Had a nice family meal in the Tavern. Host was gracious when we asked for a slightly larger table as the room is cozy. Adults enjoyed steak and crab cakes while the kids devoured burgers. The historic setting was a nice way to end the day exploring Gettysburg.
Great food and interesting location! Came here after doing the Gettysburg tour. It’s definitely touristy, but it was worth the 30 minutes wait. French onion soup was delicious. Overall great experience!
One of my favorite places to go. The food is always on point and the service and atmosphere are always fun. Definitely a unique dining experience. They have great seafood and the King's Onion Soup (french onion) is the best I've ever had. Dont even get me started on the bread! If you're in Gettysburg, make sure to check them out.
There are few restaurants that can compare to the authentic atmosphere in this historic place. It is the kind of place one expects to find in a town as steeped in history as Gettysburg, and it doesn't disappoint. The steak was delicious, and several items were hand made on the premises. If you're looking for a place for a nice, sit-down meal, this restaurant is the place to go. We did not go into the tavern, so I do not know how how good it is, but it also looks authentic to the Civil War era from the outside. Also, the store has some interesting things.
