Definitely get the prosciutto as it is outstanding! This place is a hidden gem that will surprise you every time. Be sure to call for reservations as the food is prepared fresh. Whether you want pasta or veal, this place is perfect. It’s BYOB so bring a great bottle of wine.

The secret of this place is that the owner has been making home-made prosciutto for over 20 years that rivals the best made hams of Parma, as well as PA award-winning homemade wine. The price and generous portions are a pleasant surprise and if you are lucky the owner (John Ross) may be around to give you a detailed lecture on his obvious passions in life- the art of making excellent wine, prosciutto and enjoying good meals. They have a cheese-less pizza with garlic that is really unique and addictive...problem is its not always available.

Slight thumbs down in re to service since it could be a little better and the "hours" are when they decide to be open but, as in Italy, if you want something great...you need to "tolerate". Try and call in advance to see if the place is open otherwise you may be out of luck..

Out of the way and really not expected in a small town like this but certainly worth the trip if you are looking for authentic local Italian-American dishes which were inspired by recipes handed down through several generations. If you take the time to discover Primanti's while in Pittsburgh....you need to try this place.

Incredible basic Italian dishes. The Romano is perfectly crispy, the gnocchi light, the clam sauce tasty, but the best part might have been the prosciutto and horseradish infused cheese appetizer. You owe it to yourself to find this place.
