I live nearby. Never tried their food. When I rolled up (I'm in a wheelchair) I could tell the food would be good because there was a line.
I ordered catfish, Collide greens, french fries, and banana pudding. The staff was busy but very friendly and polite. It was a 12min wait because I didn't order ahead but I didn't mind.
They have all kinds of sides and every other Saturday they change to BBQ chicken and Ribs if that's your thing.
The food was amazing. I will definitely be back. If you're in the area stop by the farmers market and try them.
Be patient. There might be a wait for the food but it's worth it. I promise.
Not a paid review just honest.
Food was fantastic. We had fried chicken, Mac and cheese, potatoe salad, rice and corn bread. Oo man was it good. Everything was fresh. The staff was very nice. We will definitely be back!
Thanks for the fresh food from Carisa and crew @ the hut
The woman @ the counter was very helpful explaining what was being offered, the days they were open & the prices. I think the prices could be clearer as I spent over $65+ for 3 platters, 1 dessert and 1 side, which I didn't receive. They have multiple days they're open outside of normal market hours, but I was directed to check social media for more info. The food was just OK....I was told to call ahead next time for quicker service. This is really the only stand in the market worth visiting. A good stop for those new to soul food.
The food is amazing I can’t say enough about her southern cooking. Fried catfish and collard greens were amazing. The best cornbread I ever had!!! Amazing owner and staff! Highly recommend!!!
AMAZING food! I love the fried fish, collard greens, onion rings and corn bread. Price is great, food is ready in minutes and flavor is simply authentic. I keep coming back for more!
