Traditions Restaurant & Bakery

Food was delicious. I had the open faced hot turkey with gravey and side of mashed potatoes. I also had a salad which was crisp, and fresh. Staff was very friendly and eager to assist. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

I have always wanted to try this place, so this morning I did. I wasn’t too welcomed from the get go. It was just me and my one year old going to have some breakfast. The staff member didn’t say hi or anything, and just drug the high chair and I followed. Then she second guessed me needing a high chair when we got to the table and then told me I couldn’t place it beside me at edge of the table which is ok I understand servers need to go by. So I had to get up and rearrange it, and then after getting situated I ordered my coffee and my son put his crayon in it. He’s one mind you. The server seemed annoyed that I asked for another cup of coffee that I was paying for and told her I was sorry. The food was good but that was about it today. I ended up having to ask for the check after about an hour. I don’t usually leave reviews but I left kind of upset.

This is the place to go in the area to get that classic Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. Incredibly friendly staff with a real "customer is always right" attitude. They also have a gorgeous outdoor patio they use in the summer with gorgeous views of the countryside and a nice little artificial waterfall. Prices are very affordable so I visit often when I can!

My group is currently cycling across America to fundraise for a nonprofit and stopped in to Traditions for a warm meal. We were treated to multiple wonderful courses of delicious food. The staff could not have been more kind. This was a beautiful restaurant with incredible food and people!

We always take out of town family here once for a home cooked meal.
