I was finally able to get here and all I can say is Wow! It was worth the wait!! I had been putting off coming for awhile due to scheduling but finally was able to commit and make a date. Which I highly suggest you do as well. Definitely call a week in advance if possible and make a reservation. This is Bristol Boroughs best kept secret. Tied in my eyes with Cafe Bombay and Akia. All three of these places absolutely kill it in their food territory. They are the staples of the borough.
But back to Jules!
So after you make your reservation, bring a bottle of wine and go through their incredible menu and try to pick just one dinner! The seafood selection, the ambience , the open kitchen concept and the incredible overall experience rivals that of any center city dining experience I’ve had. And actually blows some of them out of the water. The fish was so fresh, the oysters were incredible and the service was fantastic !
I had the halibut and it was perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. I don’t even want to break down my entire meal and describe everything because by the time you finish reading you could have called and made your reservation already ! But seriously, There really isn’t a fair way to review this place through words. Words and reviews cannot do its justice. I insist, no , I implore you to get in to Jules and try this place. You may find yourself making a monthly reservation. And that’s no joke.
Keep in mind , this place is very small, it’s a beautiful quaint setting and there’s a lot of people waiting to get seated and that are trying to get reservations. I come from a restaurant family, and I understand the complications that comes with this much success. That being said, some people need to have the courtesy to not take advantage of the BYOB atmosphere. Sitting here and popping a second and third bottle after you dine is really inconsiderate of the people that have reservations and would like to eat. Also, you are starving a small business of its profits this way. So do he right thing. Be respectful. And after you finish your meals, take a few to relax but be kind and and courteous and leave in a manner that is fair. I for one love this place and I want to visit for years to come!
Great date spot. On point sea food which was just amazing all around. Beautiful presentation and tasted amazing! It was so much fun watching the cooks do their thing. Server was great and funny and there was no interest in turning tables which made us feel welcomed and unhurried.
Very special place to experience a fresh cooked meal extravaganza. Jules personally greets you at the door then you are handed the menu of the day with emphasis on the fresh fish choices. Then the deliciousness begins. Our first time but we will definitely be back again. 5 stars from us.
Excellent experience! Food was absolutely amazing. Best fish I've every eaten. Highly recommend it!
The food was excellent as was the service. Seating was a little tight though.
They had an excellent selection of seafood. I had the red snapper which was cooked perfectly. The banana dessert was awesome.
