The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm

This place just wasn't for me. Food presentation was great, food good but prices are crazy high for the VERY small portions. I get fine dining but for me, this place falls short in various ways.

In April, I attended the Bucks Beautiful Gala that was held at the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm in their Stone Bank Barn. The Inn at Barley Sheaf is not only the perfect getaway (or staycation) destination, but is also a gorgeous location for special events, weddings and more. The property is also home to a restaurant and spa.

The barn was such a gorgeous spot for the Bucks Beautiful gala. The pink uplighting framed the room beautifully and added that special “Spring” feeling around the room. The event space had 16 tables set up with room for the silent auction display and a dance floor/mingling area.

All of the food that we were presented with during both dinner and cocktail hour exceeded all expectations and has me eager to book a table at their restaurant to try more of what they have to offer

Wow, what a place! Such a slice of tranquility just a short drive from Philly. Was here for a wedding and we were so glad we had the opportunity to stay overnight at the Inn - in the Hello Sweetheart cottage in particular. Sure the clearance is comically short in sections (at least for a 6’2” guy) but the uniqueness of the space (including a below-ground jacuzzi.. most excellent), comfort of the bed and excellent shower more than made up for the slight inconvenience of contorting or ducking to account for some wacky ceiling angles. Add on a very gracious and helpful owner and probably the most impressive and delicious included-breakfast in Pennsylvania, and the place is a dream. Excellent venue for a wedding, too. Just had a wonderful time overall and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Will be back for sure.

Really nice building, grounds, and room. Amazing breakfast and great service. Only drawback for me was that it’s off a road that’s quite busy with fast-moving traffic, so you do hear a little highway-like noise from the pool and other outdoor areas, scenic and spacious as they are. We didn’t hear anything from our room, so I might be a bit picky on this point. On the flip side, that busy road gets you into New Hope pretty quickly.

As we finish our relaxing weekend stay at Barley Sheaf, I am compelled to sing the praises of this location. Prior to our arrival, when unforeseen circumstances had affected the original room we had reserved, the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure our satisfaction. Our stay since has been extremely enjoyable, from the incredible service of the staff and gourmet meals (dinner at the restaurant was superb, as was the complimentary breakfast) to the peaceful grounds and lovely room. I would recommend this location to anyone seeking a relaxing or romantic getaway. The 5 stars are well deserved!!!
