Martine's RiverHouse Restaurant

We had our Valentine's Day dinner here, he was very relaxed, the portions we're generous, very nice presentation and very tasty. It was a very relaxed meal.

Martine's has been in New Hope for a long time. I have fond memories of Martine's when it was small and in the historic salt tax building. In the current location the restaurant is different. The prices are higher and the service is less personal. I have to admit, the food is actually better. The food here really is excellent.

The chicken was so tender it melted in my mouth! And my boyfriend loved his steak. Not only that, but there was a scary situation with the police occurring nearby and the servers made sure we had a safe way back to our car before letting us leave. Thank you so much!! The view was also gorgeous.

We have gone here for several years once or twice a year. The food is always very good at least to excellent. Service is always good with the wait staff being pleasant and efficient. We always sit on the deck next to the Delaware river and it is quite an enjoyable place. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that the deck and outdoor seating has become quite worn and shabby. A fresh coat of paint should restore the deck. But the tables and chairs have seen better days and need to be replaced.
