Overall an awesome dining experience. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful building with very cool vibe inside. We ate in the romance room which was perfect for date night with my wife. Compliments to the chef on great food (short rib fries, NY strip, and pan seared chicken all hit the mark). Nice beer and wine menu. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I had a very nice experience here for Valentines dinner. We were seated quickly upon arrival and our server was friendly and thorough. Decor was comfortable and very modern. Felt very welcome like in someones home. The menu is extensive and includes great options and variety. Prices were average. Cocktails were solid. Would come here again for a celebratory meal.

Dined this week with my wife and parents. This was our first time at this 9-month old restaurant in the old mansion that used to house Lavender Hall in Newtown. The renovation done on the building is exceptional. The spaces inside allow for an intimate small-room/fireplace experience (where we dined on this snowy evening) or elegant in larger dining rooms, including a banquet space that can accommodate 100. Really nice contemporary and well stocked bar.

Food was exceptional. I had ahi tuna steaks that were perfectly prepared (rare). Wine selections are not very deep, but they have a good selection in each basic category. Others had shrimp, pasta, and the fish special - all elegantly prepared and plentifully proportioned. Salads were fresh. On Tuesday and Wednesday they offer a 4-course price-fixed ($50/couple) that is a true bargain. Deserts were prepared in house and excellent.

Service deserves its own line, as it was attentive and helpful without intruding on conversation. This restaurant is a gem.

Ask for the tiny dining room with the fireplace. Very cozy and quieter than the main dining room or the bar area.
Food was very good and our server, Chris was knowledgeable and good. Wine list was very good. Woukd like to try their beer garden in the summertime.
