Turning Point of Newtown

We went for breakfast and the selection was great. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes which were awesome. Not too sweet either, just right. My wife had the Berry chocolatey pancakes which she said we very good as well. I tasted the strawberry reduction sauce which was great.

My kids tried the S'mores waffles and the volcano french toast which they all enjoyed. My youngest said he would be happy to come back every day for breakfast, which is saying something as they are very picky about everything.

The good was served quick even though it was fairly crowded. Waitress was prompt to acknowledge is and take out order, checking back a few times as well.

I'm looking forward to trying their other items next time we go.

Keep in mind they are only open for breakfast and lunch, I believe they close at 3:30.

I just got home from the Turning Point . What a great experience we had! The inside is very nice and clean. We were seated right away . Our waitress was Jenna. She was so nice. She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. She brought us water right away and left a pitcher of water on the table. I think every restaurant should do that! My daughter ordered an iced Chai cafe and the avocado toast with 2 eggs over easy. The portion was a very nice size and she said it was delicious . I ordered the Wilbur skillet with 2 eggs over easy. The portion size was perfect. It was delicious . The one thing I didn’t like was watching a couple walking in with their dog and being seated near us. They took the leash off and the dog walked around freely. I am an animal lover but not thrilled eating a meal with a dog roaming around. Overall experience was great . I would definitely go back!

The staff was very accommodating when we were looking for a place to have brunch after my uncle’s funeral at the Veterans Cemetery. Other restaurant staff in the area (especially Jake’s) were very rude when we called the day before to ask if they would be able to serve us, and the managers at Turning Point were not only accommodating, but very kind, polite and responsive. The food was delicious and the servers were polite and quick. Thank you to the staff for making a difficult day much better.

I’m a big fan of diners and brunch places, and Turning Point did not disappoint. Their Western Omelette was one of the best I’ve ever had. The decor is very tasteful and the place is well maintained. And you’ve got to love when they give you a full carafe of coffee! The kids loved their pancakes. The servers were a little green and inexperienced, but very pleasant. Prices were what you’d expect in Newtown.

When the weather is nice, they have a nice outside patio where dogs are welcomed. They have some outdoor games on the lawn if there is a long line to get seated. We arrived on a Sunday at 9 and had no problem getting seated.

We will be back again! Glad to have Turning Point in Newtown.
