Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

Nice outdoor ambiance near the pond and fountain - the meal was meh. I normally don't come down hard on food, but this is the 3rd time we've been there and less than impressed. Had the meal been special, the evening would have been 5 stars.

We just got back from Myrtle Beach and went to our most famous steak joint Liberty Brewery and Steakhouse. Been dreaming and fantasizing about the beers and steaks. We went, not to crazy busy- and the steaks were average at best. Total let down. For me to say that is huge. As long as it isn't moving or fuzzy, I am fine. Steaks was good but no real taste. Beer was good but that is it.

Why am I saying this you ask? Well I will tell you.

Firebirds is what Liberty USED to be like. A place where you dreamed about their steaks the night before you go there. THIS is what Firebirds is to me. If nobody said it before, this is.my.new catch phrase and I am taking. SEX ON A PLATE !

I had the 16oz prime rib. Perfect! My better half had a 9oz filet. I had a taste and it was made.to perfection as well.

What I saw on the wine menu, that was interesting is, the bottle prices were allot higher than per glass. Typically two glasses are about the same cost as a bottle.or.more, to push you to a bottle. Not here.

Great place! Would go there daily but would be in the poorhouse.

Service was so so. Had to ask multiple times for water refills. Prolonged time between table visits by waitress was difficult to manage as a party of 8. BLT salad was AMAZING! King prime rib was disappointing. There was very little flavor for a slice of meat that had been slow roasted for such a long time. At least according to the description. I would not choose to return or get the prime rib again. Although, the green beans were very good. It was an overall disappointing birthday dinner.

Wow! We were thrilled with this restaurant. after dropping your kids off at camp we were looking for a place that had a patio. We couldn't have been more pleased with our overall experience. Our server, Lizzie was one of the best servers we've ever had. She was personable, knowledgeable and just overall friendly and easy to talk with. She knew the menu and made great recommendations. When we return, which we will we will request her. The variety of drinks on the menu was fun and exciting and the food was delicious. My husband had the prime rib which he highly recommended and I had the chargrilled scallops over orzo, light dish but flavorful. What a gem of a restaurant. We wish we could get one of these in the South Hills!!! Will make the drive back again!!!

Delicious food, wonderful service. Steaks were done perfect. Margaritas on point. Tried a Firebirds last year at another location on vacation and loved it and was so excited to find one in Cranberry. The outside is really pretty with the patio overlooking a big fountain. Love this new built up area.. nice weekend getaway with so many hotels and shopping all 30 seconds away.
