“FINALLY! The desolate small town of Butler has been graced with the presence of real (American style) Japanese food cooked and served by real Japanese people. Make no mistake, were not talking about you ordinary average run-of-the-mill bland express Japanese food. Take just one bite and your taste buds will jump for joy. Translation - Happy, Happy, Happy! From the outside this establishment appears to be a bit on the questionable side with an abundance of multi-color flashing neon lights and cheesy bamboo window graphics. Upon entering you are pleasantly surprised as your body shifts into sensory overload mode while trying to process all of the unexpected swanky furnishings and decor within. The restaurant was well done and includes a sushi bar, table seating, and 6 or so hibachi grills (yes, that's where they "cook in front of yinz" for all you bumpkins). Sushi was excellent as was the hibachi dinner. The friendly wait staff is very attentive and polite. Prices were reasonable and presentation was exceptional. This will be my new "to go" dining destination in Butler! Now all this place needs is a Starbucks...”

“Haven't been here in years. But me and a friend were in the area so figured we'd stop in. Seems to be under new ownership since I've been there last. But it was just as friendly as it was years ago. We decided to try the Ruben sandwich. It was amazing. Perfect portions of meat and cheese. And the bread was awesome too. My friend got the bacon from the deli counter and made amazing BLTs with it the next day. Also Sunoco fuel is a bonus. We will be coming back here for sure.”

“I stopped here for gas on my home, which i had another 45 minutes to drive. I saw the sign for fried chicken and walked in to take a peak. I am from Charleston SC and it brought pleasant memories to see old fashioned style fried chicken and potato wedges . I'm usually a very healthy eater, but once i took a bite, i ate everything, including the roll. Everything was delicious and i wasn't even hungry!!!!”

Nice to have a healthy alternative to fast food - and I can grab a guilt-free smoothie while the kids visit the lesser-than-healthy alternative next door. I've had The Berry Bowl, the Golden Latte, and the Avocado Toast, all of which were fantastic. Everything made fresh right in front of you. We'll definitely be visiting again.”

“We have been to Recon Brewing at Meeder a few times and it has always been a great experience! The food and drinks are great! Atmosphere is unique. The staff is awesome, friendly, attentive. They even brought water for my friend's dog in the patio area. They have recently added little touches like gratis items in the bathroom if you need something. I hope the owners keep what they have going and know how appreciative patrons like me are! So many places pop up in this area and are great at first and then just stop putting in the little details and touches that make such a difference! We will continue to visit Recon regularly!”

“Very chill place!! We found this brewery in the summer of 2020 on the day we got engaged coming back from Moraine State Park. Had no idea that this even existed but pulled into the parking lot and our main concern was if they were dog friendly which they are!! Picked a table outside, waiter was super chill and very nice. We stopped to have a beer and ended up eating “which was great”, having some drinks to celebrate and taking home a growler. One thing though, they messed up our bill twice which if I didn’t check would have been a LOT more than it was supposed to be. I didn’t get mad and they totally took care of it plus the owner I believe that’s who it was, gave us two free drinks to come back. I definitely would and will go back again. Another plus is that it wasn’t over crowded like a lot of other breweries are and I think that’s what made it extra chill and relaxed.”

“I love 7-11 convenient stores but this Google page says that this location is open 24/7 but it definitely is not. It's is currently 1:10am on a Tuesday and I just drove past wanting to stop for gas and they are 100% closed, can't even use my card at the pump while the store is closed. So Google needs to update the store hours info. Good gas prices and nice employees though!”
