My partner and I are from Texas and happily endorse LeRoy's "authentic" Texas style brisket and hot links!! We were so excited when we saw the pink smoke ring on the brisket and it didn't disappoint once we put it in our mouths. You can tell the pitmaster/chefs/owners are inspired by Texas barbeque legends like Franklin's with local twist.
The ribs are also fantastic -- well seasoned, tender, and the perfect burnt ends. Our Carolina-dwelling friends and family would approve of the pulled pork. Juicy and even better with their homemade vinegar-based Carolinas style sauce.
The sides are yummy too! We loved the slaw with the pulled pork and, of course, the mac and cheese and the Josh bread. All homemade and a number of them can satisfy our vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free friends and family.
The ambiance is wonderful, too. The owners have lovingly restored the historic ballroom and it shows. Food is served Texas-style on butcher paper and a tray. Very Instagram-worthy, too ????
Go to LeRoy's now before we start having to line up in the early hours to get it like it's Texas siblings! Well worth the drive and a memorable night out.
