The food was delicious, there was variety of salads as well as main course items. The staff was pleasant and the entertainment was exceptional.

Three golfing buddies and I stopped into the NLI for dinner after a day of golfing nearby. We were dressed for golf and the dining room is more elegant. However, we were kindly greeted, seated and served great meals and drink. Service was very good and I made sure my server knew I appreciated her good service with a generous tip. I recommend, if you find yourself in Happy Valley, stop into the NLI and enjoy.

Fantastic service, from the front of restaurant to the wait staff. Good food, though not amazing. Had the honey salmon, which was just okay. Had a mushroom side dish that was wonderful. Wife had a chickpea stew that was also good, but not amazing. Ambiance was just okay... super neat and historic building but the actual restaurant space had the full lights up, no live music, and had restaurant employees walking past our table all the time to access other parts of the restaurant. If they sit you along the closest wall, as you enter the restaurant, ask to be seated elsewhere as it is an extremely high traffic route.

C'mon, Lions; if you have not yet been here, you cannot call yourself a Nittany Lion. Have been doing this Inn for at least 50 years and the quality NEVER changes. The waitstaff are not part-timers. They are food majors and know they have to be the best. The chef(s) could work ANYWHERE in the industry, believe me.

I was on campus for a graduate school interview. We had lunch here at their lunch buffet. It was very good. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The desserts (especially the cheesecake) were so amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very classy.
