So sad to see this place go. The owners were wonderful and the food they served was just as great. They must have put in so much because it was truly great. Far too short lived and a true shame. If I find the owners elsewhere it will be a go to for me. We will miss you perch!
    Thank you.

Great food and atmosphere, attentive service and the boss walking the floor, making sure that the place is running smoothly.
We had the Eggs Benedict and French Toast. Both were very good and they had a twist - the toast was filled with delicious sweet cream and the eggs were on a sourdough bread instead of an English muffin. Both combinations were surprisingly good, yet different.

We'll be back soon to try the lunch menu.

I usually hold out on reviewing a place until I’ve been there at least twice, but Perch was too good to hold back. I was highly impressed with the clean, yet cozy decor. The staff were very friendly and encouraged patrons to “perch” well after their meal was finished. My breakfast burrito was delicious, and the bottomless coffee much appreciated. There were thoughtful touches throughout the place, like hand-painted birds on the tables, and even salt and pepper grinders (which are so much fresher) rather than the gross-looking shakers provided at most cafes. In short, this is a smartly designed, tasty treat to our town and I hope it’s here to stay.

Wonderful interior inside, a nice eclectic look with earth tones, exposed wood, and wrought iron. Kind of tight inside so expect a wait during peak hours, although our wait for two people was only 5 minutes during a busy Saturday morning. Prices are extremely reasonable and the portion sizes are appropriate. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes with bacon, two eggs with sausage, hash browns, and a buttermilk biscuit. Everything was presented well but unfortunately the food was a total disappointment, very bland, dry, and lacking any obvious flavor and seasoning. The hash browns and eggs didn’t have any butter or simply salt and pepper, and the sausage was a dense, fatty concoction that I didn’t even finish. The biscuit was very dry with more like a cake consistency, and lacked any biscuit flakiness and buttery tones. The pancakes were equally disappointing, very dry and forgettable. But at least the coffee was superb and prices are great, so I give them that much.

I really hope the owners take this review to heart and get someone to objectively provide constructive criticism of everything on the menu, because there is obviously nobody with a culinary background or even a sense of decent home cooking preparing the food. The background story of the owners is very moving and they apparently put their heart and soul into this new restaurant, but somehow they forgot to provide food that is more than ordinary. A lot has to improve with the food before I give it another try. I'd give it two stars, but the excellent service, prices, and interior deserves rightful credit.
