East Star Chinese Restaurant

We don't make it out as much as we used to but the buffet here is awesome. The price is just hard to beat and the food is delicious. After having a lot more authentic places, it is definitely Americanized but still delicious and much less Americanized than many places. When I used to work around the corner we would eat here every week. Still my favorite Chinese place close to home. I almost always did the buffet. I do regular order there general tso or sesame chicken. Their sesame chicken is my favorite.

Smaller place with somewhat limited choices. But whatever they have on is all excellent! Very crowded around lunch time. Recommend.

There is nothing special about this place, but that is also its charm. East Star doesn't try to do anything special or different; it doesn't try to be fancy. It just serves decent Americanized-Chinese food at a very low cost. We typically go here for buffet which is amazingly cheap. I am not giving them a Michelin 3-stars anytime soon, but if I have some hunger and want to eat on a budget, this is the first place I turn to.
