This place has authentic Italian made food. The people working are always extremely nice and friendly and their food is some of the best, especially their sandwiches and pizzas. This is my favorite Italian place in the area. The only recommendation would be to try and find a better gluten free pizza crust. We ordered it last time since gf cannot have gluten. The crust was floury with no chew to it but the BBQ chicken pizza was excellent.
I stopped in while my car was getting an oil change at CJs tire. The staff here is great! They offered me a free sample of artisan pizza. I ordered a slice of pizza, french fries, and a spinach rice ball. The pizza was delicious & super cheesy. The fries are very crispy and tasty. The rice ball was cheesy, creamy, crispy, and overall amazing. I will defiantly be back to try the deep dish pizza!
We spontaneously stopped at Gennaro’s as we were traveling back home to NJ today. The pizza was AMAZING! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was so good that we ate, paid, and then ordered some more!
I didn’t realize until driving two hours home that I left my purse! The staff kept it safe and we all had a good laugh after an additional four hours of driving to pick it up. I ordered a sandwich and salad for the road. Honestly I’m not even mad we drove so much more today because it allowed us to eat here one more time.
My only disappointment is that we live too far to be regulars here! Otherwise Gennaro’s would absolutely be our go-to pizzeria.
I was excited to find that there was a Chicago style pizza shop in the area. When I first walked in, it was nice to see that they were busy on Friday night. I ordered chicago deep dish. I also saw that they do New York style thin crust so I ordered a 5 cheese pizza as well. The order took about 25 minutes to come out. The New York Style thin crust cheese was bland. It had no sauce, just cheese. The deep dish was good. A lot of cheese with thin layer of sauce. The sauce was average. The employees however are very friendly and works hard.
Would give them a 6 if I could. Nice people, service and food. Oh and did I say ...Chicago style?
