This place has been here for a long time, so they're doing something right! There are a few floors of goodness here and as a bonus it is haunted. From time to time this location gets reinvestigated for the supernatural with reveals of evidence open to the public. Schedule a diner and a good ghost reveal. The location makes the tavern easy to find & parking is relatively easy and free. After a few hundred years the charm is evident and should be seen to be believed.
Wonderful! Great food, great atmosphere, great prices for such a fine dining place. They also have a private room upstairs for gatherings. We love this place and go back as often as we can, all the way from Lancaster County.
Where to start...It had been a while since I had been here, and now I don't know why I waited so long. From the in house brews (Sandy Flash was FABULOUS) to the wine list it was a great experience. The staff was really friendly and seemed to actually care that I enjoyed myself, and the fried cauliflower was ON POINT. I highly suggest trying this place out as it truly was a great time! I will be back again soon!
Dining room was packed at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Sat right down at the bar for dinner and drinks. Bar was busy, but not overwhelmed. Cocktails were a good size and delicious. Appetizers came out quick and they too were delicious (Scotch egg and blistered shishito peppers). Dinner was blackened salmon which was cooked to perfection. The burger was very good, juicy and tasted great. Definitely coming back.
This place has a bright and welcoming atmosphere at the bar and dining room:
The menu is full and the food is very good. Prices are slightly on the high side but you get what you pay for... a nice change from all the chain restaurants that seem to be everywhere these days.
