A cool trendy restaurant but lacking in flavor.
For the price it seems like you're paying more for presentation than quality of food. The kimchi was about as spicy as a red pepper flakes, the Hakata beef ramen was bland, and the sunflower roll had very little fish and was a little overly sweet. The service was inconsistent, my daughter was half way done with her ramen before I even got my sushi.
The waiter was pretty busy so he didn't pay us much attention and wasn't able to answer my questions clearly. He had to go back and ask because he didn't know about menu items. Some items on their extensive menu he said they've never had and thinks they're served at the KOP location. If you don't serve it then take it off the menu.
The style of the restaurant was very cozy and modern. The seating was comfortable and the restaurant was very clean and organized from what I could see.
Overall the food was definitely not worth the price. I'd rather go to Ramen Kumamoto which isn't too far from here and their food is much more flavorful. This restaurant has a great appeal and location but I don't think I'd go back.
We were there for Sunday lunch and the place wasn't too busy. We ordered drinks and appetizers, and they were served in reasonable time. The sushi rolls and shrimp shumai were good. The pork bun was okay but the chashu inside was quite flavorful. All of us ordered different ramen noodles to try and one of them was supposed to be thick noodles. Disappointedly, they were all served the same size and it took a while for the staff to remediate the situation. The Tonkotsu pork chashu ramen and shrimp wonton ramen were very good. However, the chicken wonton and chicken ramen were just okay. The wait staff was friendly but not as helpful as we expected. The place is clean and airy with an open kitchen. The price is a little higher than most other Asian eateries in the area. Our overall experience was decent.
Just went for the first time today. 5/5 experience. The food and portions are phenomenal. The service was amazing and attentive and it was a relaxing atmosphere with early 2000 music playing. Fully enjoyed my lunch and even have enough for lunch tomorrow too! Thanks guys!
Good food. First time was dining in. As soon as the gentleman delivered my food he ran off before I could look up to request something. Second time I ordered pick up. Arrived at the 30 min ETA my and once there waited another 25 minutes. Portions are generous, plated beautifully, an incredibly yummy. Ramen is stellar.
My boyfriend and I go to the Wayne location all the time and we came across the new location in Exton and we loved every second of it! The inside is beautiful, clean, and welcoming and all of the food came out amazing as always. So happy to have Hakata now in Exton! Will gladly be going back
