The raw bar was a yes. The atmosphere was a yes. The drinks were high quality. Our waiter was a kind-eyed, hot-bodied gent named Dan, who really gave us the goods. Recommended for first dates, important business meetings or an expensive night out.
We went on a rainy Monday night it was busy but they could seat us with no problem. You can also sit at the bar. They have a great sushi selection. Tonight I tried the red curry chicken the curry was excellent my only complaint was it was so watery. I actually put some rice in to stop it from running. There was so much chicken but the best part was it was on a large bed of vegetables. They were fresh, delicious and recognizable. (carrots, broccoli, asparagus, green beans.) I initially grimaced when I saw the price of a chicken dish but when it came out it was worth every penny. The service was great.
The food here is amazing. Teikoku is also more angled toward a fine dining experience, but it can also serve as a casualish date night. On that date note: if you want to impress a date and you're around Media or West Chester and you love Japanese or Korean food, this is the spot. The wait staff is extremely friendly, the chefs are always on point, and the interior design is impressive as well. You absolutely need a reservation, this place gets booked out quickly and for good reason. I always order something different and I'm never disappointed.
Good restaurant for Asian Fusion. In this case, Japanese and Thai. Old standbys such as Pad Thai are good here, just a little spicy if you are not expecting it. The sushi is really good - don't skip out if you like sushi. The place has a great atmosphere and good service. Generally always packed. Try it, I think you will like it.
Vegetarian review.
If you're a vegetarian don't expect to get great food but you will find options. The Thai curries while they are different from what you might expect they will reasonably satisfy you. True to being in Japanese restaurant the spice levels are very low, so even when you ask for very spicy it will be mild.
The avocado salad is excellent just like the summer rolls.
For dessert I tried the suffle which was very good.
