Riverside: The Inn at Cambridge Springs

Everyone in the Cambridge Springs region is still walking around, numb, in a collective state of shock since the Riverside Inn burned to the ground last month. We gathered in the Inn's parking lot, watching the smoldering ruins of our beautiful memories, rummaging through our long-term mental files for our favorite times at this stunning and memorable landmark resort. Maybe it was Canterbury Feast, or the music festival, or just stopping by to sit among nature, enshrouded in an aura of rich historical merit and love. Economically speaking, what will take your place to keep the town moving forward financially? Words just cannot express the depth of this loss. Good bye, Riverside. We'll never forget you.

Beautiful to see upon arrival. Warm and gracious greeting when checking in. Amazing decor of the era. Grounds accessible for quiet, relaxing walks. Clean rooms and facilities. Unique and thoroughly fun/funny entertainment . Excellent food. Comfortable bed, quiet sleep, and an ample display for breakfast meal. Only drawback is not accessible for handicapped beyond the first floor. We are coming back!

I was there for the medieval feast. The good and the show were excellent. The servers were the cast of the show and they were wonderful. I would go again, it was a lot of fun. I had no trouble hearing the cast. The room where the theatre was held was small, if a little chilly. The people we sat with were very nice and easy to talk with.

I've been there for events, which were well planned and executed. I've also been to their Sunday brunch, which had an amazing buffet. I've attended the dinner theater here as well and had such a great time that I still talk about it to people. On top of all that, my best friends had their wedding on the grounds. Needless to say, I've been there a lot and would go back again and again.

My husband and I had our wedding here in May 2014. The Riverside Inn is a much different atmosphere than anywhere you may have stayed in the past as they don't have TV's or phones in the guest rooms. The old style Inn is so charming and we loved the atmosphere. The rooms are all old fashion which is so refreshing, and its like walking back in time, which we all loved. I can say that all in all we had a great stay and an awesome wedding day. The food was top notch, I couldn't believe how great both the rehearsal dinner and reception food were. The kitchen staff (specifically Donna), bartenders, and set up (Wilma) were fantastic. However, I need to let the ladies that may be married here in the future, unless you plan absolutely everything (literally did everything from the centerpieces, favors, vendors, EVERYTHING), you are going to be highly disappointed. All I can say is that I'm thankful that I planned everything or we wouldn't have had a wedding, literally. Most of the employees at the Riverside were super helpful, however, their wedding coordinator was new, and had no clue what was going on, this isn't her fault, I was her first wedding there, so things will improve. Again, thanks to the Riverside, I wish you all the best in the future and can't wait to visit again with my husband!
