Mercato Mio

We picked the Penn Harris Hotel as a halfway stop on our way home from a road trip. The Mercado Mio restaurant was a delightful unexpected surprise.

Midweek this conference center wasn't busy. Our waiter, Mark, was attentive and charming. The food was great. The kale, brussel sprouts salad we started with was fresh and delicious. The mushroom risotto was the best we've ever tasted. Absolutely a five star experience!

Everything was great-food, service, atmosphere. Our server Marc was great. There were 4 of us, we all had something different. Food was extremely hot when it came out which is a plus. We will definitely go back. They have outdoor patio seating which will be nice in the summer. It’s worth trying!

We went here for valentine's day dinner and everything was top level. Friendly staff, great food and and a huge wine list! There's a beautiful patio area and the bar area has a warm, inviting feel. They have a cocktail/ mocktail list full of staff picked originals!

I highly recommend trying it!

I realize that this place just opened, so maybe they're just getting their bearings.
The food took an hour to reach our table and it wasn't hot. The risotto had even begun to congeal like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. I brought most of the dish home to reheat it to a good temperature.
As for service, our server was pleasant, but didn't seem to know the answers to some of the questions we had.
I'm hoping things will improve because it's a convenient place for us to patronize.

Went here for dinner and was blown away. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable making perfect recommendations. Their food is unparalleled to any other Italian restaurant in the area. My wife and I frequently go out to many different restaurants and this has easily become our favorite. You really have to check this gem out yourself!
