Stopped in after a serving shift last night and was really dying for pizza. Last time I was dying for pizza I went to my old go to spot and they disappointed me massively. So, was hoping my bad luck streak would be over, yet not having high expectations for an Alecos pizza. They proved me wrong with perfectly crispy, not too saucy wings with chunky blue cheese(would have liked celery), hot, fresh, well balanced sauce/cheese ratio pizza with quality toppings. My friends and I crushed both pizzas and both wing orders and agreed we would write a review because we need the quality spots to stay open for our late night/post industry shift needs! Thank you Alecos we will be back(we're right around the corner!).
I enjoy everything I get there.!!! Nice friendly staff.. especially the owner..
This place is open on Friday and Saturday nights until 3 o’clock in the morning which is super beneficial but it gets really packed around 2 o’clock when all the bars let out. The pizzas are phenomenal don’t get the wings they don’t taste that great. But they have a lot of just mainly fried food. They have a massive ham and cheese Stromboli that I got a couple of times it’s delicious and great for like two or three people. You can eat there or take it to go and it’s a BYOB
Ordered a grilled chicken salad to go, with oil & vinegar on the side. The salad was wonderful, and plentiful however I am on a extreme low sodium diet. The chicken was too flavorful, and I suspect was prepared in a salt based marinade (my bad, I didn’t ask). But my real gripe is that after eating the salad with about half the 4oz container of dressing, I noticed that there were spices settled out in bottom of container. This WAS NOT oil and vinegar, but rather a vinaigrette dressing which I’m sure was high sodium. If you ask for a specific dressing, they should supply that, not substitute what they think should be ok, or at least advise that they don’t have that. (unlikely since they are an Italian cafe/sub shop). Now I have to arbitrarily adjust my sodium intake for the next 24 hours based on unknown variables. Also they did not offer the salad without fries (which isn’t on my cardiac diet), ordered without fries, but they charged regular price. I paid it willingly, but think it is outrageous when you are trying to make healthy choices, they force you to eat unhealthy food, or pay for something you can’t eat. I would say most people ordering a salad at a place specializing in sandwiches is probably on some kind of diet that fries is a no-no.
Excellent food!
Clean place!
Rapid service! Best fries!
