Hookers Seafood Joint (Harrisburg)

We got flounder, crab and shrimp garlic fries, and shrimp & grits with added crab meat. The flounder was bland, I wish it was seasoned. I wanted to love the crab and shrimp garlic fries but they were soggy and tasted stale.

But then shrimp and grits though!!!! Them thangs SLAP! Never tasted anything like it. Definitely will be ordering the shrimp and grits with crab meat again.

Great place to get a bite to eat around here. Speedy service. You just go up front and self order and wait for your food.

We got some slushies that we enjoyed while waiting. We got the flounder box with fries and the whiting box with fries. It was delicious and the fries were great too.

Well priced and in a convenient location near Harrisburg’s busy area.

Huge KUDOS to the lady at HU who told us about this place (our request was we wanted somewhere local & not a chain to have a good lunch) and now I can say both of us can die happy. Food's so good, portion is GENEROUS, and you could hear it in the kitchen when the lovely cooks fry up your order - they be bringing the ocean to you OMG

"THIS [the crab fries] alone was worth the drive. I'm getting the cold sweats [when the food is too good]" - Husband (we had a 8 hour drive to reach Harrisburg)

So. I LIKE GRITS for the first time in my life. Good God these are GOOD. I also got the White Fish which was also delicious. The breading was crispy and flavorful and the fish was fried perfectly and juicy. PROS. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! 🙌

If I could give it more stars I would. The staff and atmosphere are wonderful. I've actually had delivery as well and the food is AMAZING and consistent. Those GRITS...OMG. Last but not least the portion size...well let me put it like this..I can't eat it all in one sitting!
