My friends and I were on City Island when we decided we wanted a substantial dinner. We walked across the bridge and found Palumbo's. The dining room was smaller and rather loud at the time (a fireman's event was going on down the street, so there was a substantial crowd). We ordered and watched while the kitchen worked. I was impressed that the cooks would call out to the customers, asking for clarification, "lettuce, onions, tomatoes?" that sort of thing. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. It was tasty, though the portions weren't particularly large. Still, it was a good experience and I would go back.
