Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We enjoyed a great, hot meal for dinner. Service was perfect, as usual. We visit Cracker Barrel a couple times a month and always come away well taken care of.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Staff is very polite. At home feel. The store is comparable with pricing to like shops, but is in need of updating with the products offered for sale.

We had a super waitress tonight that made the meal even better. I decided to try something different so ordered the Southern Fried Chicken they were promoting. Wasn't my thing. Coating was very crispy and had some spice to it. Not what I expected. So, I simply picked off the coating and enjoyed the chicken "as is". The food is always great! Hubby enjoyed his meal.

Impersonal, okay food, but clearly setup for tourists with the focus on the front entrance as a difficult to navigate floor plan crammed with trinkets, souvenirs, and clothing. I did like their extensive candy counter and candy wall, but ultimately found the whole experience to be overwhelming due to layout. Certainly interesting to explore though. This was in stark contrast to the dining area, with its large seating capacity with wide open floor plan. No privacy of conversation, and sound traveled freely. Generally, I visit the Cracker Barrel once every decade, and it is always memorable.
