Would be 5 stars down the line but the A/C was so cold you couldn’t stand the place without all the table implements turned up high. Meats were all fresh and good quality, multiple choices for everything. Highly recommend.
Glad another hot-pot restaurant opens in the area even after the demise of Fusion Fire on the West Shore. It helps that this one is a proven chain and offers the now popularized personal (vs. traditional family/shared style) hot-pot with the Korean BBQ option to boot. I've been to the K-Pot in East Brunswick NJ so I had an expectation prior to going.
For a weekday lunch it was reasonably busy but since this place is so huge a vast portion were empty. The decors are trendy and new - I believe it grand-opened earlier this month (April'24).
After being seated we were directed to the tablet to select the hot pot ingredients. The waitress had to enter our choices of soup bases (hot pot only option $20.99 pp). The entire table must purchase the same option (either all hot pot, all BBQ, or all hotpot+BBQ for $5 more). There is a 2 hour dining limit. We tried the tomato soup and Korean seafood soup bases. Between the two we definitely preferred the latter. It has a chili indicator next to it on the menu but it's not very spicy.
The controls for the BBQ stove are on the side of the table whereas for hot pot cooktop they are (dangerously) located on the surface right next to the boiling pots.
The sauce bar is very on-point, with many choices to concoct your own. But I didn't like the K-pot Sauce at all, too sweet and gingery. The side dish bar is very nice. Definitely sample a few of those.
Each order of hot pot ingredient generally come in a set of 4's. As such, 4 thin slices of beef amounts to half a plate and after cooking they reduce to 1/4 of a cup! So definitely go generously on the meat order, like quantity of 2, 3 or even more. I also like the swai fish.
A few things that lowered the rating:
1. Many ingredients we ordered never came, like 1/3 of them! Big miss.
2. The dessert bar was pathetic, unlike the NJ location that we've been to.
3. Everything seemed high sodium and we got really thirsty even during the meal.
Try to go in small group size, lest be prepared for a frazzling experience ordering and keeping track of who ordered what.
The food is good, the price is definitely on the higher side, to be fair all K-pot are about the same.
The service was good, but because it just open; wait time could be up to 2 hours for a larger group(6+)
The price is $20.99 lunch and $30.99 dinner. Hot pot add on is $5, weekend are all 30.99 no matter the time.
Come check it out yourself, lunch is definitely better deal than dinner. (Last till 4 pm on weekdays.)
The parking is tight, try to carpool if you have a large group.
Bringing something new to Harrisburg Pa ! Had a great time coming to kpot on their opening day . Had great service and staff . Food quality was good i would rank it a 4/5 for the meat quality . Drinks were good as well and reasonably priced. Loved how they designed the interior of the restaurant. Use a waitlist application since no reservations but the app is great to monitor how ling you are waiting and how many people are In front of you . Would recommend stopping by as it’s a nice new option of flavor In Harrisburg!
Opening day. Had to stop. Wasn’t busy. It it was 2:30 in the afternoon. The place is very nice We got a seat and menu and I had no idea what to expect I was overwhelmed but the waiter was very helpful That made a big difference. Some did the grill in the center of the table and we ordered out meat and veggies The veggies are cut very thick so put them in first or you will have meat done and veggies still hard. The sauce bar was a nice twist a lot to choose from but nice. It is all you can eat and the price for lunch is decent for all you can eat. Dinner is 10$ more I want to go back soon to try the pots Overall the place was very nice Looking forward to the next time
