Awesome staff! Food is easy to prepare and delicious. Each meal has been perfect! We have been using this service for months and it has changed our dinner time from stressful to enjoyable. Thank you for making it easy.
2nd visit to A'fare at Wegmans. Good food and beer selection, as always. Kelly was the best bartender/lserver
love this place! adds variety to my dinners and allows me to try new meals. the place is clean and organized and very easy to understand! perfect for everyone
We just started patronizing The Dinner A'Fare in October. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked everything about the place. It was fun to put the meals together -- almost like high school chemistry lab -- except you get to drink wine and (eventually) consume the results!. Workstations were clean, instructions very clear -- no fuss at all. Took my wife and I maybe 90 minutes to assemble and package our 13 meals. Put them in a cooler, take them home and put in the freezer. Easy...
We enjoyed every meal. No sweat (for the most part) to follow the instructions for home preparation, and not at all time consuming. Just defrost in the fridge a day or 2 beforehand, allow up to an hour cooking time (but actually working in the kitchen was never more than 20 minutes or so), then sit down and enjoy. Cleanup was a cinch what with no chopping, dicing, trimming etc. The portions sizes were fine; we are average to big eaters. They said that each meal served 2-3; our experience was we got the three portions -- which made for great leftovers. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the meals are by and large delicious -- ranging from pretty good to "holy cow that was tasty." We liked it so much we signed up for November and had the same experience, and so we are returning this month as well.
The cost is surprisingly reasonable in our view. Adding in the cost for the sides you need to "fill out" most of the meals, we found the average meal ran about $18 in total, so somewhere between $6 and $9 per serving for quality home cooked meals depending on your appetite. If you find yourself in the habit of going out to eat 2-3 times per week, and maybe doing fast food a couple times as well, you will save a ton of money (and very likely enjoy better tasting and healthier food). Further, you won't get bored with the selections -- for the three months we have been customers not a single recipe was duplicated
Wish I could give them 6 stars...
Fantastic place to prep several meals in record time. Regina (the owner) has been very warm and welcoming, and accommodating of changes to a few recipes (I am vegetarian). Their business is decorated so nicely, and the food prep stations are always clean and well organized. I went this morning and prepped 6 full meals in 45 minutes. Love this place!
