SOUTHERN SOUL FOOD ALERT!!! WOW, WOW, WOW... Let me start by saying someone posted this Restaurant on a Lansdowne, Pa neighborhood page the other day and I screen shot the name yesterday...
I was thinking about trying them all day but when I got home from work today I fell asleep. When I woke up it was 6:30pm. I was hungry so I looked at their website and it said they close at 7pm so I wasn't going to order because I NEVER order from places within an hour of closing!!! I was mad at myself for falling asleep... but changed my mind and called them up and asked if they were still taking orders but if not I would call tomorrow. The young lady on the phone said sure we will take your order... so I ordered the Southern Sampler (Ribs, Whole Chicken Wings, and Whiting Fish) and she said were sorry but we are out of Ribs... so I said thats fine I will just have the Chicken and Fish with my two sides of Louisiana Collard Greens and 5 Cheese Mac & Cheese... order in! The young lady says I will call you 10 mins before its ready... I drive over and wait outside it might have taken 20 mins and she called and I go in... she says just a few more mins and it will be out... then the Chef comes out and starts to apologize to ME for the food taking so long... I said to him no sir I'm sorry For calling in my order so late to which he says its never too late... I say I want to THANK YOU for just serving me so close to closing... This man is worried about my food taking too long and he comes out to apologize to me!!! Might I add THIS FOOD IS MADE TO ORDER... I expect it to take some time... I just thought everyone should know from the start this man cares about his customers!!!! Now the food!!!
Collard Greens absolutely the BEST I have ever had.. The Chicken Wings crispy on the outside juicy on the inside cooked perfectly, the Whiting crispy on the outside and Perfectly Flakey on the Inside.. I Never really order Mac & Cheese because I don't really enjoy it most of the time... but I would definitely Order this Mac and Cheese Again!!!
I cant wait to try the rest of their menu and am hoping they just opened because I would hate to know that this place been around the corner from me and I have been missing out all this time!!! GIVE THEM A SHOT! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

At the first moment you step in that place they give you a pleasant feeling. Very comfortable team, it is a happy restaurant to hang out with your friends or with your date. heavenly meals, talented chef de cuisine, modest pay and nice service. Highly recommended.

I ordered a Southern Sampler platter. A lady picked up the phone right away. She sounded nice and courtesy. Pickup only. They call and let you know when your food is ready. My order was ready in about 20 minutes. Everything on my platter was delicious and well seasoned! Price was a couple of dollars more than other soul food places. This would be my new soul food restaurant to go to from now on.

Lorraines was a recommendation well worth my money. The Southern Sampler was delicious. Tender juicy ribs, wings and whiting cooked to perfection. My sides were collards and potato salad.
Everything seasoned well, I will be returning in the near future. I really enjoyed my meal.
