“It was a special treat to find authentic Guatemalan food in Philadelphia. The restaurant was quiet and clean, and our hostess was quite friendly and accommodating. We ordered rellenitos, Carne asada, Churrasquito Guatemalteco, freshly baked sweet bread and a strawberry pineapple licuado (smoothie) to drink. The meals were served with grilled scallions, fresh made chirmol (salsa), fresh guacamole, fried sweet plantains, black bean purée, Guatemalan rice (simple yet flavorful), and a nice macaroni salad with red peppers. But perhaps the Best part of the meal— thick, soft, substantial (and naturally gluten free) hand made corn tortillas that are distinctly Guatemalan and that are next to impossible to find anywhere in Philly. Everything was delicious, and very reasonably priced. Proportions were generous—we had to take home leftovers. We will definitely go again, as we are eager to try more things in the menu!”

“The food is amazing but service leaves much to be desired. We were told we had to make a reservation to be sat in "VIP" upstairs, meanwhile there was 1 couple up there when they allowed us to go. When we sat down and got our main entree we had to wait for our utensils, therefore we ate our appetizer with our hands. I ordered a drink that I never received. It was so hot in there, no AC it seems like. I would go back simply because the food is so good though”

“I was walking the streets of Upper Darby with my wife, when i saw Surah. Hungry as I was, i decided to go there as the prices look reasonable and there was a good amount of people inside. I wasn't expecting much but I was shocked at the quality of service over the food. Dont get me wrong, the assortments of meats and soups were astounding for the price, but our server, Richard made our experience so much better. Food is delicious when the service is top notch! Would come here again just for the server as he was hilarious, smart, and out going.”
