Husband and I went there for our anniversary. The staff were so friendly and efficient. Hostess very quick to seat us. Very attentive server. And the food was absolutely delicious. I had the salmon, cooked just right, and the risotto was wonderful. Husband had seafood florentine. Never seen a bigger scallop! And I highly recommend the double chocolate martini! All in all, we absolutely recommend it.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Erie. I had their Norwegian salmon with Brussels sprouts and mushroom risotto and it was spectacular. Our server was very nice and the setting was relaxing. Highly recommended. :)
An excellent Italian restaurant! I was in a party-of-eight on a Saturday night; we had a reservation and, based on how the restaurant filled-up, I would recommend one. Our server was professional, very friendly, accommodating, and had just the right amount of attentiveness & interaction. Drinks and food came out at comfortable intervals, and the food was very fresh. The house salads had crisp & fresh lettuce (no iceberg), and the house dressing was flavorful. The bread was fresh, served with delicious olive oil. All of our main courses presented well and were delicious. We were there on Derby Day, so one of the drink specials was the Mint Julep; they nailed it, with perfectly crushed ice and fresh mint, served in copper mule mugs. The ambience is warm, business-casual to semi-formal, and fairly intimate. The restaurant is located on a street corner in a neighborhood; it is easy to spot, and parking is on-street.
Can't stop thinking about the lobster ravioli dinner. Loved the dinner. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the service. Can't wait to go again.
Excellent!!! As always. Great food and service.
We were finally able to visit again recently and had a memorable time. I usually get the chicken parm because I enjoy their sauce so much (and I add a meatball on the side - why not, they are to die for). And it was fantastic, melts in your mouth. My wife had a great Sirloin w Scallops that were honestly the best I ever tasted. Large, buttery, cooked to perfection.
We were there a bit early on a Tuesday and it was somewhat quiet. The bartender actually came over and we asked how we were doing. He recommended some wines that were a perfect pairing with our dinner. We both drove home excited that we had such a great anniversary dinner.
Thanks Colao's.
