Nice little retro spot within the Gannon University. We entered and the place was busy. A gentleman greeted us and said give him a min to clear a booth. A good bit of options on the menu for only serving breakfast/lunch. I had the big breakfast and the wife had the veggie omelet. Nice size portions for cheap. That's always a plus. Cool spot with nice people and good food. Couldn't ask for more.
The food was great. The atmosphere is super cute. It's like a brand new 50's diner. I love the chalk wall. However, they only had 2 waitresses and one of them was also doing hostess duty. It made the service slow. They really need to have a dedicated hostess and busser so the waitresses can just be waitresses.
Great Food! Nice size portions! Friendly Staff! VERY inexpensive!
Winning combination! Next time im in Erie, i will DEFINITELY stop in!
The place has its own unique comfortable vibe. I tried the big city cheese stake sandwich, it was big and tasted good. I also tasted fried country steak with scrambled eggs.the fried steak was ok. The sausage gravy was different thing you need to try it if you did not tasted before, but it was not the my thing. Unlimited coffee refills.
Fun place! It was about a 10 minute wait at 10am on a Saturday morning. The place is small, new-diner appeal. Great menu choices for breakfast & lunch plus specials. I was actually tempted to get lunch. We had a good waitress, though busy. The bacon was delicious, tasted like extra smoke. My cherry & cream stuffed french toast & bacon was plenty for me, but would have been too light for hubby. Tons of icing on the cinnamon roll, he loved it. The blueberry pancakes tasted like warm blueberry muffins. Every plate we saw looked yummy.
