X Marks The Spot

There are many amazing places to eat at Southern Market Center, but I chose X Marks last evening (my first time there). Not only was the price right, but the food was generous and amazing! Their spicy chicken sandwich tasted like it was hot out the frier and their mac & cheese was on point. Highly recommend!

I ordered fried fish, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and corn bread. The fish was fried and seasoned perfectly. The greens were tender but just the right amount of heat. The macaroni and cheese was delicious and so was the cornbread. The owner was friendly and the staff was nice. I will visit again.

I live in Lancaster City and literally have dozens of options for food and I still find myself returning to X Marks the Spot in the Southern Market. Food is consistently good, the sides alone should receive awards. Meals are in the $15 range and come with corn bread and two sides (do not skip the mac and cheese or sweet potato mash). I always choose the chicken (fried or seasoned, both to die for)as you cannot improve on perfection. Portions are HUGE. I get two meals out of each one. The owner is very friendly and I know he'll be successful with food like this. A+!

Great size serving and great food

Just visited X Marks the Spot in the new Lancaster Southern Market and I am blown away. I had the fried chicken with rice pilaf and mac & cheese and it was the best I’ve ever had. I have found my new go to!!

X Marks the Spot just recently opened in the new Southern Market Food Hall. If you grew up eating Southern food but haven't had it in awhile, this is the place to go that will take you back to simpler times! The food is amazing and you get great portions. The cornbread is a must try for anyone that likes a great cornbread!! 😁 Just take a look at that plate!!
