Hoss's Steak & Sea House

I ordered Cajun fish and broccoli with the soup and salad bar. There are many topping choices. The salads were fresh and the soups we're very good. My husband loved the beef stroganoff soup. I tried the french onion which is low cal. It was good, not great. But that's probably because it's low calorie and low carb. My fish was a little overcooked, but still very good. Even though they weren't very busy, I was impressed that things on the salad bar were kept fresh. The desserts were also very yummy. Especially, the lemon fluff.

They were nice and catered to our request for some privacy away from other customers, which was really great. But the food was average, maybe. My husband got the soft pretzels pieces with cheese dip and I had one and the pretzels were good but the cheese was watery and very bland. The salad bar was really good but our main dish was not the greatest. We had burgundy steak tips with mashed potatoes and gravy. I had mine with mushrooms and his was without. The texture and taste of the meat was more like liver than steak. For the price I expect it to at least taste like steak. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great. They had green peppers and onions that were not cooked. They were just heated up and nearly raw plus they very big chunks so eating them with they rest of the food, the flavor overpowered. I gave mine to my husband and I gave him half of my "steak tips". We were able to have dessert bar because it came with the salad bar, but neither of us had any desert. The sweet tea I had was really good and our waitress was really nice. She was very attentive and polite. So overall I would say it was okay and we would give it a second try. I just won't order the tips again nor the soft pretzels pieces.

Great place to eat. I love the soups and salad bar. Good prices and great food for the price. Try the onion square and french onion soup. I am sorry about my friend who didnt make it to the bathroom in time ???? we will be back to get more food to make up for it!!!

Service is fast and friendly. Their food is excellent, with an extensive menu. The salad bar particularly impressed me with its freshness and many choices. It's a good place for birthdays! The servers will all gather around the table to sing Happy Birthday and they sing very well.
