Hazel's is a great place to have a filling breakfast to start your day, to grabbing a quick and easy lunch. They also have dinner a menu. Their prices are very reasonable. The only drawback, in my opinion, for whatever that is worth is the acoustics. You can have those times, which is often when the place is busy where the sound of people's voices and the sounds associated with a diner can make it difficult to converse with who you are sharing a meal with. If you want good food and lots of it, Hazel's is for you. If you want quiet and romantic, not so much.

Last great general diner style restaurant left in New Castle. Very fond of their sloppy joe and fried potatoes. Highly recommend.

Love this place. Food is homemade. Service is excellent. I ordered the turkey dinner. Loved it. Food portions are very generous. I hear the steak salad is good. Next time I go, that's what I will try

There is something familiar about Hazel's restaurant. The minute you walk in the door, it's like a dear friend is welcoming you back home again. One of the last original down-town restaurants in New Castle, with efficient, friendly service, this was one of my mother's favorite restaurants. The menu is somewhat limited, but they have several excellent breakfast choices@a budget-friendly price, and I am never disappointed with the tuna salad croissant or just a comforting bowl of soup with a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch or dinner. Excellent lemon meringue and strawberry pies for dessert. A nice place to get-together with friends and family to relax in a laid-back atmosphere. Plenty of street-parking, and there is a parking lot across the street, too. My only complaint: the water for my tea is usually luke-warm at best.

Excellent, affordable food, friendly staff and a great environment! We've only been once, but this is definitely our new favorite!
Breakfast is served until 11:30 and lunch until 3pm. The staff is so hard working and friendly that even slammed with customers it was all moving along quick and smooth.
