They used to have a larger menu and the food was amazing. Went there last weekend since the restaurant reopened after being closed for some time. The menu was smaller and the quality of the food was OK at best. I had the chicken and waffles, it considered of shredded white meat with chicken gravy over what seemed to be a pre-made waffle. I was edible but nothing I would like to have again. Sides were good and the atmosphere is still train oriented.

The food was tasty - not the best I've ever had, but certainly good. Unfortunately, I ordered my burger medium well and it come out nearly bloody. We had to wait a very long time for our food. My side salad came out with my main course, and had no dressing. I had to ask twice to get some salad dressing. Another person in our party also had to ask for dressing twice. The service was friendly, but very slow. Atmosphere was rustic and extremely nice. When they brought my second hamburger out, it was much better and tasted very good.

Good food from wide selection of options. Well prepared. Nice people. Clean and friendly. Comfortable atmosphere. Was a bit disappointed in the lack of IPAs on tap. It's October though, so the obligatory spiced beers take precedent. The beer menu showed Bells Two Hearted IPA and others on tap but they were not on this day. Ended up getting bottled. Between tap and bottles, a nice selection.

My understanding is the tavern just reopened within the past month or so. We went around 4:20 thinking it wouldn’t be busy yet, but it was just ramping up and we waited about 5-10 min, at most. Our server was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere there is great. Nice environment, the dining area is full of train memorabilia which is cool to look at. The food selection was basic, but this is understandable as they are just getting started. Perhaps they will add to the menu as time goes by. I ordered a burger cooked medium. It was cooked well, but still tasty with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion. My husband had wings and the chili. I will say the serving size for the chili was not impressive for $6, especially if you paid for it to be supreme ($10, add cheese, sour cream, jalapeños and chips). The chili was mistakenly upgraded to supreme but my husband didn’t get the chips that it should have come with it. The chili was not his favorite. It had a barbecue undertone which is not to nis liking. My daughter had a pasta dish. Cajun pasta. It was pretty good, lots of flavor. Only complaint would be that the sausage tasted more kielbasa. Over all the food was hot and good for the most part.

Are used to go to the Alburtis tavern for years prior to it closing down to the pandemic. Stopped in tonight since I heard they had new management and we’re open again so I won’t be too overly critical because I know there is a learning curve with all new employees, but I’ll be coming back here more often. Anyway, I stopped in today said at the bar the place was absolutely packed which was good to see. I just ordered a sandwich called the Cuban and the Coca-Cola. The food came out about 30 minutes later, but like I mentioned, the place is very crowded so take that into consideration and new employees. The Cuban sandwich is supposed to have ham and pork on it, it was served on a ciabatta roll, but did not have any pork. Either way the atmosphere was really awesome. It was nice to sit at the bar and talk to some of the local town folk who are used to also come here. In my opinion, if you were looking for a place to go eat, I would definitely check this place out because in the next coming weeks as they get into the groove, I’m sure they are going to be just as amazing if not better than what they were before. One of the cool features that they have is if you’re sitting at the bar all the barstools have a railroad name on them and every time a train goes by they spend this big roulette type of wheel, and if it lands on your seat name you get a free beer
