This place is totally unbelievable. There is no vegetable, fruit, or meat that you can't find. More places to eat than you could imagine. Everything from soup to nuts and more. Best pretzel wrapped jumbo dog I've eaten. Just be sure to do some judicious shopping. Found navel oranges for 4ea for $5 and at another stall they were 2ea for $7. Overall a very satisfying experience.
Great selection of food and produce. The people there are always helpful. I look forward to visiting the Farmer's Market when I'm in town. It tends to be busy no matter what time of day you go, but well worth it.
The Allentown Farmer's Market is GREAT and certainly deserves 5 Stars over all, but do NOT let anyone at the new cell phone shop touch your cell phone (shop name is Deal Wireless). My daughter's iPhone had a cracked screen, and the guy there said he would fix it in an hour, and I thought it would be a good idea to shop in the Farmer's Market for an hour or so and pick up her fixed phone on the way out... Well, the screen was replaced with a VERY low quality screen that appeared quite dark and the phone exhibited unexpected behavior when swiping and tapping the screen. The guy would not stand by his shoddy work and said that he could not do anything to help us. We took the phone to a reputable cell phone repair shop (FIX Mobile in South Mall) where we got a higher quality replacement screen, installed by a skilled technician who showed us a sensor the guy at the Farmer's Market had BROKEN while trying to remove the cracked screen. I would not recommend doing any business at all at the cell phone shop in the Allentown Farmer's Market. I go to the Farmer's Market just about every week and I intend to continue going, but I will steer clear of the cell phone place. UPDATE: I changed this to 5 Stars because the Farmer's Market management team intervened, and Deal Wireless refunded my money, only because of this intervention. So 5 Stars for Allentown Farmer's Market.
This is such fun to walk up and down isles taking in the "sights and sounds". The meats, seafood, veggies, pickles and so on are fresh and good. Try the horseradish pickles next time you're there.
Great produce, meats, seafood, wines, honey, baked goods, and so much more at the Allentown Farmer's Market. Excellent close out deals at the end of the day on Saturdays too. You really should check it out and become a regular shopper, especially if you're local...much fresher products than many grocery stores offer and a more interesting, fun shopping experience!
