The food is amazing. Everything was so fresh. I ordered the Milada ( peanut butter soup with smoked Turkey and served with rice) 😍😍😍. My boyfriend ordered a fish platter that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The women who helped us through the options was so nice. She gave us samples of some of the beverage options. She told a little bit about where she is from and about the different meals they make. I will be going back often.
My sister, mom and I love this place! The food is well seasoned, fresh and the portions are more than sufficient! The owner, Habiba, has such a warm and welcoming energy and we love that she converses with us in French! Definitely a "feels like home" atmosphere!
Very good food, and great friendly service. They are Ivorian, from Ivory Coast. The food is made fresh so you might wait longer than a typical restaurant. All the food was good. The ginger drink was good too. It’s located in the nice downtown area. The restaurant is better than at least 95% of the African restaurants in Philly. So if you’re in the area or on your way to and from the Poconos, I’d definitely recommend.
The cook is very friendly with great hospitality, and she speak french added bonus, I also speak french. The food is amazing and will back again!! The restaurant amosphere brings you to a different continent! Come a taste great food!!
This is a great date spot check it out!!

Check out my pictures and video!!
I tried Nkasso today for the first time and very happy with it. I've never had West African food before but I got the African queen and definitely need to go back. It smells divine and the portion sizes are very generous. The crispiness of the chicken is very nice but not super dry as you might expect. The side of vegetables are nice, although the baby carrots were a bit on the bland side. The rice was very good and the yams were delicious. I was able to sample their drinks and while all good, I had to go with the hibiscus tea drink. All in all would recommend!
