Such a broad collection of meads.
I'm the owner, so I'm not sure why Google wants me to review this place, but the meads are great (because my business partner Mike is the best mead maker in the country), the staff is great, and if you don't have a nice time, let me know and we'll make it right.
Flew out to Pennsylvania for the first time, from LA, to visit my sister and brother in law and was told about The Colony Meadery. I had never tried mead before so we stopped by and sat down for a flight of mead. I instantly fell in love with the rich flavor! I highly recommend this place and will have to find a way to order it in California.
Having visited them in their early years, the Colony Meadery continues to grow and create buzz. Their selections have doubled, they have expanded their tasting room, and the quality is still there. If you haven't been, put it on your list to try then keep going back.
Great place if you want to try meads. We've been to a few wineries the have mead, but this place is a mead mecca. They have spme of the most interesting meads I've ever seen. If your new to meads I would recommend trying a beginner flight. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their product. There is also a brewery next door, and a distillery. You can even have lunch there. We will definitely be back!
