Sumo Sushi and Japanese Restaurant

This was my first time coming to sumo and its the best sushi place in the Lehigh valley. Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious!

Excellent place. Extremely clean and still has that 'new' feel. Sushi was excellently plated. The presentation was half of the amazement. The taste overall of the sushi was definitely well above average, but the presentation and the visuals were what knocks it out of the park. Overall, definitely a must-go place in the Lehigh Valley if you want sushi. You won't be disappointed.

Let me start by saying the only reason this place doesn't get a five star is because of the wait. In fairness my friend and I were there on Valentine's day so we had extreme patience with the servers. I had a reservation for 2 and when we arrived they tried to seat us at the bar (on Valentine's Day!). We said we would wait for a table, that took about 15 minutes but it was well worth the wait. Once we were seated it took about 25 minutes or so for the waitress to come get our orders. We had prepared in advance and ordered all courses in that first round so that the food could just steadily come out. We had the ginger salad, the dressing was one of the best I have ever had. Next we shared the Sweet and Sour Soup, it was absolutely delicious, lots of flavors and textures and had a bite! Our appetizers were both sushi and we found them to be excellent and fresh. For Entree's I had the filet which I found to be one of the BEST I have ever had in my life. I brought some home and I was able to cut it with a plastic knife the next day after warming it up! My friend got the Tempura which was also delicious. The sauces were all spectacular as were the roasted vegetables. My only complaint was A. our reserved table wasn't ready and B. The time it took to get through the meal. While we enjoyed our evening it was a 2 hour and 15 minute meal. I feel like 1 hour and 45 minutes MAXIMUM for our courses would have felt more comfortable. Generally speaking we loved it and we will be going back again!

Seriously the best sushi around. I have ordered delivery several times mostly getting the chef specialty rolls. Everything is amazing, and absolutely the best miso soup I've ever had. 110% recommended
