You either love 'em or hate 'em. I grew up slamming these down after a night drinking so I have a special place in my soul for these belly bombs. It's white castle so you know what you're getting. Greasy little delicacies that you challenge yourself to eat more than you should and stack those little boxes up creating your own leaning tower. You know what I'm talking about ????
Inspired by the movie, we drove 3 1/2 hours in the middle of the night just to get briefcases of mini cheeseburgers. Was worth every second and every penny. The store manager even took a picture with us and gave me a WC pin.
Next time I will call ahead that we are coming. :)
This brings back the good old days when hamburgers we're just meat and bread with some ketchup. Back in my high school days, I would stop at my local White Castle and order at least 8-10 of the hamburgers with half them with cheese and a milk shake. Yep, the good old days. Leap forward a few decays and I can only have it one in a while now.
It's White Castle - tasty sliders for a cheap price. The staff was pleasant enough. The cashier even pointed out a better value meal than the two I was ordering. No ice was available for the soda machine but this is White Castle - you can't expect a perfect dining experience. If you like their burgers the place is fine.
White Castle has always been an adventure for me. As kids we'd drive hours away to the nearest one. Now that it's in town, I find myself avoiding it, as to not pull from the nostalgia. Alas, I went here a few times, last time was during lunch. I ordered one thing, a cheeseburger crave case. Simple 30 sliders, put it in a box, the world moves on. Now I understand this is not easy feat, but I don't think it should take 25 minutes for it to be finished. The food was exactly as it should have been, I can't complain about that. The attendant was nice and professional as well. The time it took to prepare the food was what bothered me. And it's not just this time, it seems it's always been slow, so at this point, who is the fool? Them for having slow rates, or me for expecting more?
