Bloomin' Onion Restaurant

The summary: I would go again, but only if someone was paying for me. I would not take someone here nor recommend it to others.

I went here with my parents for dinner. It's a pretty small place, but it has a nice cozy feel. It's homey as well, with a casual feel to it.

The staff were all very pleasant and the menu, while not expansive, was well rounded. As an appetizer I ordered their easy muscles in scampi sauce. The muscles themselves were quite fresh and tasty, though I was less enthused with the sauce itself.

The salad bar was well maintained and had fresh ingredients, but their homemade italian was more oil than anything else.

For dinner I had one of their pork milanese(sp?), my mother had their fettucine alfredo with shrimp, and my father had Eve's Chicken. My father stated his dish was "good" and left it at that. My mother was disappointed in her dish, saying "the shrimp were tiny... the fettucine was undercooked (for my taste), and the sauce was out of a jar".

I, for my part, was not a fan of my dish. The pork was cooked very well but the breading was unflavored, it seemed. Having a squeeze of lemon on top was not enough to make it interesting to my taste buds. The pasta with red sauce I got as my side was similarly bland, though the carrots for my vegetable were quite tasty.

This all being said, the bill totaled $89.00 for the three of us and my one dessert. The price, coupled with the well-made but incredibly boring dishes is why I only gave it three stars.

Cozy atmosphere, foods a little pricey for what you get, but tastes good. Waitress was friendly. Definitely a must try if you're in the area.
