Wow! From the decor, the warm blue paint and copper colored accents on the ceiling, to the soft jazz playing in the background, the atmosphere is warm, sophisticated and inviting. We had the signature cocktail and sampled Wellers and Blantons. Our entrees were the Filet Mignon which was cooked perfect and reasonably priced compared to other upscale steakhouses in the Poconos.
Troy was very attentive throughout our dinner!
We promise; we will be back!
Our second trip.
Peyton was our server and she was fabulous. Service was above and beyond! friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and Jess is a master mixologist!!! Can’t wait for round 3!!!
Keep it up Rare and Rye 😍
Amazing fine dinning experience! From having our bottle of wine decanted by our incredibly attentive server Troy to enjoying the beautiful setting and ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious, my boyfriend and I shared the beet salad and scallops for appetizers, then we ordered the dry aged NY strip and dry aged Rib Eye steak accompanied with fondant potatoes and wild mushrooms. The steaks were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our overall experience was top tier!
Great place to go for a special occasion. Probably the best I've been in the Poconos.Staff is friendly, service is great. The food is good too. Truffled fries is the bomb but I was expecting a little more of a flavor for the mains and maybe a couple more options would be great. For the atmosphere it's really nice that they kept the original elements of the historic building but it's a tad bit dingy for my taste. However the booths are very spacious and can fit a big group easily. I had the pain killer cocktail and it was great. The wine was amazing!
I 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat in a very mellow and fancy setting. Beautiful lighting and even better food. I love the duck—the seasoning was just heavenly. I never knew my mouth could feel the way it did when I tasted their food. Best service from our waitress, she was amazing and apt. I would love to come back again for another milestone in my life. I loved celebrating my anniversary with them and I hope to be back soon.
Your experience at Rare & Rye will rival that of Ruth's Chris. The menu is perfectly thought out and each meal is perfectly executed. Handcrafted drinks pair exceptionally well with your meal and the whisky/bourbon list is another best of the region. No expense was spared by the owners to highlight the historical significance of the building and incorporate modern flair featuring incredible artwork by a local artist. The staff and service are equally impressive.
Our dinner for three included a prime porterhouse for two and a prime cowboy. Both perfectly cooked to our liking. The sides were all amazing. If you're celebrating a special occasion or just stopping for a quick small bite and a craft drink at the bar, Rare & Rye will not disappoint.
The bonus is if you're waiting before your reservation or enjoy an after dinner cigar, you can step next door to the Puros cigar lounge. The attendants in the lounge can assist in finding a perfect cigar and enjoy your drink of choice while relaxing in the equally impressive atmosphere.
