I love this place. I loved them when they were on Chelten Ave too. I went here for my birthday breakfast and the food was awesome. They take a picture of you on your birthday & hang it up on their wall & they also give you a copy. Our waitress was super nice & we didn’t have to wait super long for our food.
I ate here only once, a couple of weeks ago, and was REALLY impressed. The burger (cheddar & bacon) was the best I've had in a long time. My wife greatly enjoyed her entree, too (sorry - can't recall what it was - hope it's not early-onset Alzheimer's...). Biscuits and gravy and waffle-with-seafood at the next table looked so good that I hoped they'd leave some unfinished when they left (no such luck :( ). Looking forward to visiting again. "Waiting room" is a nice idea, but I wish they'd use if for more tables instead. (Maybe they'll have an opportunity to expand?) Overall: "Yummy."
I really enjoyed eating here. The atmosphere and energy from the staff was amazing. They are super kid friendly. I loved the fact that they have a small library filled with children books to keep your child entertained. The lounge area is nice and cozy , it’s a great place to meet people. The food was nothing short of amazing!!!! I ordered the shrimp and grits and got turkey bacon and cheese eggs that came with it for $15 ( that alone sealed the deal). My best friend ordered the catfish and grits that also came with beef bacon and eggs for no additional charge. Her food came to $17. I wish I could add the pictures that I took. I really enjoyed this place and will be back with my family.
Caught me off guard at first. I was expecting my normal BBQ and laughs with Jack. To my surprise this is no longer his place. It was actually quite nice surprise. I tried something because the mellow vibe and the hospitality of the waitress. I took my food to go and it was hot and the flavors were good. I love waffles so I thought why not. The catfish was fried nicely the sausage gravy was different but the flavors worked. The cornbread waffle was a little dry but everything was on top of it. The maple chicken and waffles with baked chicken not fried caught me off guard but I thought why not. They also used dark meat not but it was good.
This place is located at a very convenient spot. The service was good and the overall cleanliness was also satisfactory. I have to say that the French toast could be a little thicker and the scrambled eggs were a bit runny for my taste, but overall I had a good experience having lunch here. The menu has a nice flow to it and it’s very consistent. Check out the hot chocolate! It was very smooth, and the white chocolate shavings they sprinkle on top make for a good presentation.
