My friends and family have gone there multiple times now and every time it is amazing. I love trying their specials. They always add new food which makes it fun. It’s a family owned business. One of the owners cooks and the other one takes care of the clients. They are both amazing at what they do. The portions are very big. I usually have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The menu has a lot of options which allows everyone to find something they like. The lady is also extremely accommodating to all your needs. Strongly recommend trying it out!!!
Their food is delicious! You cannot beat their thin crust oven baked pizzas! (I call them "grown up" pizzas) because they are "fancier" than pizza shop pizzas. The toppings are incredible!
We also LOVE attending their live operas! What a magical experience! A special little gem in the heart of Elkins Park!
“Our experience on 3/26/2024 was impeccable! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The chef was very personable and the food was amazing! My husband and I plan on visiting frequently! “
This is a great place to eat; the setting is quite romantic. My cousin and I were heading to a diner a few doors down as we were starving, but their menu didn't have what we were looking for, so we went for pizza at this pizzaria. La Piovra (Italian for "The Octopus") is more than a pizza place; it has delicious Italian dishes. We ordered mussels in the chef's special sauce that's better than the traditional red & white sauces. We had European seabass called "branzino"; the meat had a sweet taste with few bones. Of course, we also ordered a pizza with truffle cheese, which we didn't finish, so we packed it for his kids. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Because we were the ones there that late Thursday evening, we got to speak with the chef and his wife. They're overseeing the restaurant for the owner. They speak Italian fluently and from Albania. Absolutely amazing chef and super delicious food. I highly recommend this gem. On some Fridays and the weekends, there's a live band performing in Italian.
